The Maredijkbuurt consists of two parts with very different characters. The first lies around the Rijnsburgersingel, Maredijk and Aloëlaan, with older small-scale housing, mostly dating from before the Second World War. The second part lies near the Willem de Zwijgerlaan, Schipholweg, Parmentierweg and Schuttersveldweg.
